Mrs. Linda Faye Woriax Rolan age 64 of Maxton, NC was born January 30, 1955 to the union of the late George D. Woriax and Vonnie E. Woriax and departed this life on July 7, 2019 in the Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC.

Linda was preceded in death by one son Patrick Scott Locklear, her father George D. Woriax, paternal grandmother Thedis Woriax, maternal grandparents Elbert Clark and Idella Locklear. 

Linda was a lifelong member of New Prospect Holiness Methodist Church where she enjoyed true fellowship of Christ.  Linda was a graduate of Prospect High School Class of 1973 and a graduate of Pembroke State University Class of 1977.  Linda was active in the NC Section of the American Water Works Assoc, NC Water Environment Assoc., and NC Waterworks Operators Assoc. Linda was a certified  Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and a certified Water Treatment Plant Operator. Linda was the Chatam County Utilities Director untill her retirement in 2000.  Linda was the first female president of the NC Waterworks Operators Association to serve two terms as President from 1989 through 1991. Linda participated in the Environmental Technology Delegation to the U.S.S.R. from November 9-21, 1990 in which the program was sponsored by the Citizens Ambassador Program International formed by President Eisenhower.  Also during Linda’s professional career she was employed with Robeson County Water, PWC of Fayetteville, and City of Raleigh Public Utilities. Linda was an expert chef in the kitchen, her sister Teressa said, “Anytime Linda was cooking they came in heards to eat.” During Linda’s lifetime in addition to her travel to the former U.S.S.R, she was blessed to tavel internationally with her husband Terry to India, China, Mexico, Poland, Czech Republic, Five Canadian Provinces, Puerto Rico, and almost all of the 50 States of the US. 

Linda is survived by her husband of 25 years Terry Rolan of the home.  One son Timothy Michael Locklear and Wife Natasha of Wynantskill, NY. ,  Her mother Vonnie E. Woriax of Maxton, NC, Three stepsons Jason Rolan wife Sandra of Timberlake, NC, Jeff Rolan wife Lamya of Cary, NC, Steve Rolan of Steamboat Springs, Co.  Linda was also survived by her Brothers and Sisters, Thirteen Grandchildren, One Great Grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.

Tommy was down because of procedure he had so Kathy Glenn called and asked me to inform former WR people that would know both of you.I called Vickie Westbrook and she sent out an email.Will be thinking of you.My first remembrance of Linda was " H2O Hal" license plate!🤗

So sorry to hear of the passing of my friend Linda. I worked with her many years to help those coming into the water/wastewater industry. A smart lady with a vibrant personality who made all of our days brighter. From all of us in our industry, condolences to her husband and our friend Terry and the rest of the family; Rest In Peace my friend Linda.

My thoughts and prayers are with Terry, the family and Linda's many friends. I met Linda at a Sister City event in Durham years ago. She was indeed a charming and lovely lady. I only recently learned of her professional career and superior accomplishments. Rest in peace dear lady.
