He went home to be with the Lord on the first day of March of the year of our Lord 2019. He is survived by his wife, Debra P. Locklear; one son, Kelly Locklear of Maxton, NC; his mother, Rosie Lee Locklear, of Maxton, NC; one brother, Donald R. Locklear (Tessie Locklear); one sister, Kathy L. I met Bruce in Raleigh at the Farm Show where we were both Exibitors, 11 years ago, where we became fast friends and shared many memorable times. I consider Bruce a contemporary whom I respect greatly. I miss him already as we had a dinner planned that will now be in the future. Condolences to DEB and the family, Glenn and Earlene

Recently met Bruce at the 2019 Farm Show in Raleigh at the State Fairgrounds. Bruce spoke as if I had known him for years. Shared about his life, was introduced to some of his life long friends that stopped by the booth. Shared information about BB&K Farms, about Deb, his willingness to go the extra steps to insure that we would have success in our new venture at hay farming.
The visit to BB&K Farms on February 9, 2019 was even more beneficial. He invited us in to his office, learned even more about the family, his mother, and the business. Again, making sure that we would be taken care of.

May God hold this family in His loving arms. God Bless.
