Music by The Piano Brothers

Mr. Norman Strickland, 87 of Pembroke, NC was born April 30, 1930 on the Jim McMillan Farm on Philadelphus Road and went home to be with the Lord March 02, 2018 at Highland Acres Nursing Home and Rehab.

Mr. Norman, his parents; Mr. Braxton and Mrs. Lula Strickland, his brothers and his sisters are all in Heaven together.

Mr. Norman is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mrs. Freda Harris of the home; one son, Mr. Victor Ransom (Julie) of Pembroke; one daughter, Ms. Nancy Ransom of Maxton; two step-daughters, Mrs. Frankie Howington  and Mrs. Robin Britt (Bruce) both of Lumberton; one sister, Ms. Marcella Dial of Pembroke; six grandchildren, one step grandchild, a special sister-in-law, Ms. Deborah Cummings and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Norman loved his family and church family very much, but most of all he loved Jesus.  He was a plumber for 54 years. He loved to work his grapevines and prune his ivory plants around his home.  We loved to swing and talk about the bible.  He would teach me about birds, doves, and mocking birds.

“If Norman could he would tell everyone that don’t know Jesus to please give your life to him.  It will be the best decision you will ever make. Remember John 3:16.”
